▌(ver 29) Can't exit from settings!
Win7
Australis
● Problem:
I can open "Customize" menu <[ + ]> , but can't exit from it!
● Description:
when I'm in this Drag&Drop menu, "Edit Customize"button <[ + ]> is clickable, but doesn't work and "Menu" button <[ ≡ ]> even can't be selected !!! Only restart... (Private Mode too)
● My story
The begining is ordinary: installation, happiness, tutorial, customization, Problem
Ok, let's solve. Google doesn't answer, Mozilla somewhere advices to reset FFox settings.
Ok, the theme and addons are deleted (one of them I'll never find again*), but the problem is fixed!
Ok, I'm happy. Let's continue. Oh, the TUTORIAL again, nice.
STOP! "<[ ≡ ]> → <[ + ]>" ... It's here AGAIN ! I CAN'T EXIT CUSTOMIZE MENU . After tutorial. NOT OK
● So, I hope I've described you everything I could Thank you for Australis, it's a really big step Good luck

- FFox had a button (red cross) "restore closed tabs". I enjoyed it, but reset has deleted it and I can't find it in the addon store. I have been always thinking it is the default feature... Can you explain this too?

Chosen solution
Let me start with the Reset: you should find a folder on your desktop named Old Firefox Data. The missing add-on should be in there, but it may take a little work to find because add-on folders often have long gibberish names.
Now... the main problem. Some other users have reported that Customize does not open or close correctly for them. What is supposed to happen is that Customize opens in a new tab and when you Exit Customize that tab closes. Instead, Customize takes over the current tab or maybe even blocks the whole window.
I'm not sure whether the cause of this has been discovered. One user rebuilt his settings manually to get rid of the issue: How can I exit the "Customize" screen after I have changed my layout? But hopefully you will get an easier suggestion.
Could you start by testing in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).
Any difference in how Customize works?

Thanks!
SOLVED (addon)
It worked in the Safe Mode
So, I started experiments and found that there were no proplems after I had turned of "E-Web Print 1.19.00" (by Epson)
I think that it caused this problem. I don't use it too often, so it's better for me to turn it off. But I can't understand how does Firefox let this app make a such trouble
Thanks for solving this because I had the exact same issue un disabling E-Web Print solved my issue to.
Enjoy!
same here. Strange situation re version of Epson's E-web print. Have installed v 1.19.00 which caused the trouble, Don't remember where I got it from - maybe from the printer CD. On the Epson-site they (now ??) only offer v 1.10.00.
