restore deleted history pages ( FF 102.10.0esr in Ubuntu)

more options

Is it possible to restore previously deleted pages in FF history? There are instructions for FF in Windows but I am using Ubuntu 16.04 esm and the FF version is 102.10.0esr.

The pages were deleted several days ago and the computer has been shut down and rebooted many times since then.

If it is possible doesn't that defeat the object of deleting history pages?

Hope someone has an idea! Derek

If you have accidentally deleted your browsing history on Firefox, you may be able to restore it using the following steps:

Open Firefox and click on the Library icon (the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the window).

Click on "History" and then "Show All History".

In the Library window, click on "Import and Backup" and then select "Restore".

Choose "Choose File" and select a backup file from a time before your browsing history was deleted. If you don't have a backup file, skip to step 5.

If you don't have a backup file, you may be able to recover your browsing history using file recovery software. First, close Firefox to prevent any further changes to your browsing history files. Then, download and install a file recovery software such as Recuva or EaseUS Data Recovery. Run the software and scan your hard drive for deleted files. Look for files with names like "places.sqlite" or "places.sqlite-journal", which are where Firefox stores your browsing history. Once you locate the file, restore it to a safe location and then open it in Firefox using the steps above.
