Hello, I want to send a photo via the right mouse button with Thunderbird, but the PC automatically uses the (also installed) e-mail program Office Outlook. How can I get Thunderbird to be selected. I also want to reduce the photo at the same time. Is that possible?

Chosen solution

It does work here in W10: Send to - Mail Recipient for a jpg file displays a resize window and then attaches the file to a new TB message. The problem is when you have TB and Outlook installed, the default email program can be difficult to set. First, check that TB is the default mail client in W10 Settings, Apps, Default apps. Then, in TB Options/General/Systems Integration, click Check Now and Set as Default. If it still doesn't work, it sometimes helps to download and run the full installer, for the exact same version, 32 or 64 bit, that you currently have. Choose the Advanced setup, check the box to set TB as the default, and at the end of the setup, don't launch TB. Restart Windows and see if TB is selected in the Send to dialog.

Hello there Elze. We have read your message We try to help you.

Sending a photo is not fully accepted. And office outlook will want to do this.

As follows you can look in the control panel for the default settings. After choosing this, there is a column on the left in between, an image of an envelope, you choose that there will be a mention of what is installed as a program.

Being able to change this to Thunderbird if possible will change functions.

Thanks for the answer. I already tried this, but it didn't solve the problem. I'm going to try a different way. Greetings, Elze
