All bookmarks lost after update. Restoring bookmarks not working.
Firefox asked me to update every time I opened it. Downloading and installing firefox, always said udating didn't work, download firefox upate now. Tried dozens of times. Then said needed to go to new firefox, did that, had to create account, did that, now have lost all the bookmarks. Tried selfhelp to restore bookmarks, incomplete instructions or not working. I would really, really like all my bookmarks back. Thanks for your help, Jane.

I have the same problem. Updated My FF and lost all my settings and tabs. I'm really angry. All my tabs are lost. I even tried this instruction , but backup files are empty. Also all my settings are absent. What is going on???
Why every time I upgrade FF I need to think would it work or I need to spend my time, to get my info back?
Always the same with updates. You think you're doing the right thing, but just a major hassle.

This solution doesn't work for me at this time. Next time I will try it.
Hi Scribe,
Thank you so, so much for your solution. Worked great and so easy even I could do it quickly!
Cheers, Christiane.
I had a Firefox update and i lost my bookmarks and I tried what they said on here to get thm back but its not working or I am missing something. Can anyone help with this? Thank You
This solution did not work for me - the Profile, the one in use and the only one showing, has no bookmarks. I have tried all the restore options as well - what's the next thing to try? Like many in this thread, I am hugely inconvenienced by this loss, and the time and hassle to repair it, and I haven't been able to repair it yet.
