The graphics, button layout & colours of vn 57 are truly horrible (especially the tabs). I've restored my computer back to vn 55, which I like, but I've now lost the ability to set new tabs with the homepage. If you have any ideas on how I can set up vn 57 so it doesn't give me a migraine (i.e. restore presentation to what they were before), please let me know.

What specifically do you want to change about the new apparance?

There's a custom stylesheet you can install that makes the tabs have the same curved appearance as the old tabs: https://github.com/wilfredwee/photon-australis/blob/master/README.md .

If you don't like the dark-colored tab bar, there's a "light theme" option available from the hamburger menu (button with three horizontal lines in the upper-right) > "customize" > "themes" menu in the bottom-left.

From that same "customize" screen, you can drag-and-drop the buttons to put them in whatever layout you want.
