I am using Thunderbird with a few google email accounts, and I have them setup correctly as I would like them for Copies & Folders.

But! Server Settings is a different story, in here there is an option of "When I delete a message:" for this I have 3 options available to me, the latter two options of "Just mark it as deleted" and "Remove it immediately" work exactly like they say.

The first option of "Move it to this folder:" with a drop down box to specify which folder the deleted message should be moved to is what I am having an issue with, if I click the radio button for this option and then chose the folder I want the messages to be moved to, as soon as I close the Account Settings window this setting is lost as if I open Account Settings again and click Server Settings on the email account I am configuring, it shows "Choose Folder" and not the folder I have already chosen before.

All of the google email accounts I have do the exactly same thing within thunderbird, i've tried restarting the email client multiple times, but the issue remains.

I can change the folder on a gmail account.

What are you trying to change it to anyway?
