I am new to Thunderbird. I have 45.1.1 installed. As you know Lighting is installed by default. I added Provider for Google 2.7. I followed the procedure which included selecting Google in the “create new calendar” box. I did not paste any address below google. At a point it brought me to a screen where I logged into Gmail and all was good. If I look at me google calendar in Thunderbird I see all events have been loaded from online google calendar. Then I added a new event in tbird\google cal which looked good. My problem is that new event never gets to the online google calendar. New events from online google calendar update in Thunderbird…! The new events also show in the Home Calander. I have looked in any and every online asset available, none mention this issue

Chosen solution

The new events also show in the Home Calander.

Then you probably added them to the Home calendar, not to the Google calendar. Make sure the Google calendar is selected in the left pane prior to adding an event you want to see in the Google calendar. Alternatively open the event, use the Calendar drop-down menu, and choose your Google calendar.
