Unable to save website addresses with the new small saved passwords window that cannot be maximized.
Im trying to recover all the web site addresses along with the usernames and passwords from my mothers old pc before I wipe the drive. She has purchased a new machine and asked me if I could save the info firefox had saved for her over the years. On older versions of firefox this would be easy because the window where this info was stored could be maximized allowing you to see the complete web address along with username and password when you had passwords enabled. But the latest version of Firefox has nerfed this window too small to see anything but a hint of the address, making it impossible to maximize the window or see anything other than username and password. Im basically unable to get her old web addresses and matching logins now. The other versions of firefox had a much better version of this window. If there was an option to maximize the current window where usernames and passwords are saved I could simply copy everything and let her go to these sites to get her new machine and firefox to clone everything from her old one. But at her age its almost impossible for her to remember all the stuff firefox had saved for her and quite frankly anyone who has alot of saved websites, with passwords knows how nice it is to be able to see the full details. The new version is not as good as the former versions of this feature. any idea how I can solve this ? If I rollback to an an older version of FF would the saved info still be available or is that even possible?

All the information you need to preserve is stored in the Firefox profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
Instead of copying individual passwords simply backup the entire profile and restore it on the new computer. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

thank you for answering my question, I ended up being able to mouse over the partial addresses individually and manually saved the info to a wordpad. the process was slow but I managed to retrieve the info i needed. I will definitely use your suggestions if I run into a similar situation, however my mother had already used her new machine for a couple months so would this fix wipe out all her new profile info ? If I had used this feature as soon as she bought the PC it would have been a smooth transition but in this case I was ask to help her retrieve those old sites and login details after she had already created alot of new sites and login info making it a specific retrieval of only the stuff within that single page. I will mark this as solved but I still think the older UI with the maximize window option is much more intuitive, especially for the elderly or those hunting for specific information that firefox saves. TY.
