Gmail password is no longer accepted after upgrade to Version 31.1.1
I have two Gmail accounts set up in Thuderbird. Following the upgrade to 31.1.1, one of the accounts will not access Gmail. This account has a stronger password than the other. Attempts to open the account produce errors indicating that the password is not recognized by Gmail even though it was working before the upgrade. I deleted the account and tried to add the account back, but once again get errors stating that the password was not accepted by Gmail (multiple attempts). I can access Gmail via Firefox. Gmail 2-stage verification is not active.
So what changed with Version 31.1.1's handling of passwords?
Chosen solution
The third time that I tried adding the account back into Thunderbird, it worked. I guess that why this account was having problems and my other Gmail account continued to work after the upgrade will continue to be a mystery.
Thanks for the suggestions.
