Adobe Flash installed and reinstalled but website still states to install latest versiob. All No script items given temp okay (Too many) No problem with Chrome.
Under a website, USA Today, I looked at a subsite with a video. When I went to the video it says that I have to update Adobe Flash (it was current). I installed the new download twice and still got the message that needed to be checked off. (Noscript does not work well anyway (Safescript in Chrome is better).. The video came up fine in Chrome w/o any changes.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Resetting FF to basic is too cumbersome. I did it once and it didn't help. I have just reinstalled win 7 and all I had before (I perform this annually). I will just switch most of my work to Chrome. I have had no problems at all. I like Ff but every time they upgrade it, something else breaks.
I too have this problem XP sp3 uninstalled FFox 18.02, manually cleaned registry + C:\Docs and Settings\~\Mozilla\Firefox (that Revo uninstaller leaves behind) Downloaded from Mozilla FFox 19.0 and installed. No plugins nor extensions an empty "sheet"
Have followed Adobe nag twice today to install flash but install always fails. And links on adobe page are dead, they go nowhere.
It Happened again today. I now use Chrome for all but one website (Many tabs). It seems FF moves one step forward and two steps backward.
Looked at addins. There is no adobe plugin under the latest version of FF.
