On my old e-mail I could delete e-mails one at a time as I go thru them. There was an actual delete "button". Thunderbird has no delete button that I can see. How can I delete like I am use to if there is NO delete button? Am I missing something????

There is a regular delete button on the toolbar so I guess you can't see the toolbar.

Alt+v, toolbars and tick the checkboxes.

However if you select one or more email messages (you know how to select multiple items?) then the delete key on the keyboard will zap them too.
