After an update last week, neither Thunderbird or Firefox will open. Thanks for the update!

I don't remember wheher it was an update of Thunderbird or of Firefox, but it was one or the other. After the update occurred, neither of these programs has opened on my computer. I am using Internet Explorer now to access the Internet.
