Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Thank you...I actually want to strive towards that goal...what I am learning is that it takes a lot of research, reading and patience...but it is rewarding and money savings, not to have to go to a computer doctor to fix thing such as these....thanks again guys!
Ideato and FredMcD A little diversion; my record of four lots of Flash has been blown out of the water. The count is up to seven - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1005323

SEVEN ? ! ? ! ? !
How did he get the computer to start ? ! ? ! ? !
and you guys thought I was bad with 4!!!! LOL the weird part is that the settings keep changing on their own...the other day the ones I disabled were enabled on their own and yesterday I could not play something back and went into the plug in and all of them including the new version were disabled too....go figure...how does that happen and why is it that if a new version is auto uploaded as it was obviously the case here, the rest were still active?
