Security settings are set to "Remember passwords for sites" and no sites are listed under the "Exceptions" tab. I was only prompted to save passwords for four sites (Facebook, State Farm, Yahoo!, and Support.Mozilla. I would like to save passwords for AEP-Ohio, AT&T, Bank of America, DirecTV, Toyota Financial Services, Verizon, and Vinton County Nat'l. Bank, but was never prompted to save passwords when logging on to these sites. I was able to save them in the password manager for another browser (Opera) so I'm pretty sure these sites don't restrict saving passwords.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.
