I have set "Options/General/When Firefox starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time" but it never does and the "History" - "Restore previous session" option is greyed out. Any ideas how I can get it to restore previous sessions?
I'm running Firefox on a Dell Precision 64 bit with Win 7 and have set "Options/General/When Firefox starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time" but it never does and if I go to "History" the "Restore previous session" option (plus the "Recently closed tabs" and the "Recently closed windows" options) is greyed out. Any ideas how I can get it to restore previous sessions?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
- https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Private+Browsing
- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

I have never run Firefox in Private Browsing mode. - Tools>Options>Privacy has the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history. - "Permanent Private Browsing Mode" is not selected.
Do you have any other suggestions? Many thanks,
