firefox keeps deleting whole bookmark folders when i try to delete any bookmark
every time i try to delete any individual bookmark, firefox deletes an entire folder (containing several sub-folders) that is completely unrelated. all i can do is restore it and watch my bookmarks fill to the point of uselessness.

Sorry to hear about that.
What method are you using to delete the bookmark -- could you describe the steps? For example, are you using:
- Library Dialog ("Show All Bookmarks")
- Bookmarks Sidebar
- Bookmarks menu (right-click)
- Bookmarks toolbar
In case it's a problem with Firefox registering the wrong mouse pointer location, does it make any difference if you use the keyboard to arrow down to the target and then press the Delete key?
