Google Search in Firefox takes me to Google.ae instead of google.com--I'm in the USA and I want it to go directly to .com--How do I change it back?
Starting today, when typing in a search query into Firefox (32.0.3), instead of being taken to Google.com, I;m taken to google.ae
I am in the USA and my IP address shows as such.
How do I get it to change back? (I have the same problem in IE but Chrome asked me which google site I wanted to use.)
Thanks.

Google may have set a location cookie on IE and Firefox that is not getting updated. So my first suggestion is:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
- right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try returning to https://www.google.com/ and let Google re-detect your location. Does that help?
You also could try the "no country redirect" override address:
