While it might be too late to recover the msg(s) already deleted what you might want to consider is changing your deletion settings to "move to Trash" and not delete automatically. Then, after you're comfortable with having nothing to save in trash use the extension "Empty 'Em" which does a pretty good job of emptying various folders. Again, doesn't help with your immediate recovery but it sure can help with future unexpected deletions.
