When I click on the contact, the "delete" option is greyed out. When I try to make a change in the "properties" dialogue box, I can type letters, but when I close out, the words are lost as if I'd never typed them in.

How to repair a corrupted address book (not the OSX address book):

1) In Address Book, select Personal Address Book, then Tools/Export, Save as type: LDIF, name the LDIF file.

2) Select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder to open the profile folder, close TB, delete or rename abook.mab.

3) Restart TB, Tools/Import...Address books...Text file...select the LDIF file from 1).

4) In Address Book, select the imported address book in the left pane, then select all the contacts in the right pane (Ctrl-A) and drag them onto the Personal Address Book icon.

Changes to PAB should now be retained.
