I am new to Thunderbird. I created an email list. When I send using this list, I get one notification from [email protected] that there is an undeliverable email sent to someone who's not on the list.

It states: "mtaproxy103.free.mail.ir2.yahoo.com rejected your message to the following email addresses:

[email protected] Your message couldn't be delivered. When Office 365 tried to send the message, the external email server returned the error below. This is probably due to a problem or policy setting on the recipient's email system."

I'm at a loss. I've deleted the list and created a new one but get the same results. I don't have Office 365. It was offered on the computer when I first purchased it, but I deleted the bloatware. I tried to send an email to the mysterious [email protected] but it is inactive. Any assistance would be appreciate. Thanks.

When you send emails they may use various servers en route. Yahoo server is rejecting it but many email addresses use the yahoo servers.

You mention a Mailing List. How many contacts are in that list ?

When you create the email, are you entering the 'Mailing List' name in a 'Bcc' field or adding several email addresses, one after the other in a Bcc field.

Was the 'List' copy pasted into a 'Bcc' field from a text file ?

If all the email address / Mailing List is using a 'Bcc' field, are you also putting an email address in a 'TO' field, even if it is your own email address?

Are you sending any emails to a yahoo email address. I notice it says @yahoo.co.uk, but could that be wrong, should it be eg: @yahoo.com ?

Thanks for the response. I have 22 people on the mailing list. The list was generated within the Thunderbird Address Book. There are two individuals who use @yahoo.com. There is no such email as "[email protected]". I have no idea how that email is being generated. It's a mystery to me.

When I create an email using the list, I address it to Bcc using the List's name within the Address Book. I leave the To: field blank. I do not copy or paste from a text file. Here is the other info attached to the returned email:
