New, improved Thunderbird . . .? Not.
Apparently, the designers of the "new, improved Thunderbird" think they know better than users . . . !
Specifically: - Previously, when creating a message, there was one line for the addressee. That remains the same. - Then, if one wanted to add "cc"s, there was no limit. Now? Nope! One is limited to ONLY ONE "cc" and/or ONE "bcc" . . .
Exactly in what way, please do tell!, is this supposed to be an "improvement"?! It is anything but that!
"How can [you] help?" You can help by not making stupid "improvements such as that . . . and restoring the original options.

You are correct in that there is only one Cc and one Bcc, but you now you can enter more than one email address in that Cc and/or Bcc field. There is a really good article on this which helped explain everything to me and I soon found that it now really easy. See info at this link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/addressing-email
An excellent article.
When you add an address to the contact field, you should be seeing the cursor staying in that field regardless of whether you use tab or enter. That should be hint that you can add additional addresses. If that is not happening then perhaps an add-on is messing with your system.
