Would need to install expired 52.9.0esr 64-bit https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.9.0esr/linux-x86_64/ pick your language above. Custom install, install some place else where Firefox 61 is not. Preferably on another drive.

If you mean the NPAPI Java Plugin from Oracle.
For NPAPI Plugins only the Flash Player Plugin from Adobe is allowed to run in 53.0 and later including 61.0.2 and 60.1.0esr whether on Windows, Mac or Linux.
Technically only 52.9.0esr still allows other NPAPI Plugins besides the Flash Player to run. However the now legacy Firefox 52 ESR is almost EOL as of Sept 5th with no more security updates after then.
Why do Java, Silverlight, Adobe Acrobat and other plugins no longer work? = https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins
Even Oracle is in process of discontinuing their Java Plugin as it is not with Java 9.

Edited post by PK. The url was pointing to 52.8.0esr and not 52.9.0esr and was 32-bit and not 64-bit. The 32-bit requirement in order to use other Plugins besides Flash/Silverlight is only for Windows.
Hi sksksk, is it possible that Flash is required instead of Java? Your browser didn't mention that Flash was installed. See: Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems.
In case your issue is with JavaScript (which is part of Firefox and all other web browsers) and not with needing Java.

See this article (and scroll down to SSH client) :

Java is indeed required - where it says in this article that you can still use Firefox : only for a few more weeks .....
BTW : where users say that the launch SSH client button doesn't work. No solutions given.
