I can open a radio programme but cannot make it play
Until 16.05.2017 I could open a BBC radio station, select a programme, click the play button and listen to it. Since then, I have been able to acees the station and the particular programme but have been unable to make it play. When I click the play button, it turns pink and will not start the ptrogramme. I've tried a range of BBC radio and TV programmes and none of them appears to work. This seems to be a Firefox problem as when I go in through Goggle Chrome, they work perfectly well, (just as they did for many years on Firefox). I'd be grateful for some advice on how to resolve the problem

It never hurts to check this out if you haven't done this and you still have the problem.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
'Been listening to BBC Radio Two for hours (no problems), and indeed, like cor-el says : extensions like AdBlock Plus need to be turned off on that site.

Thanks Cor-el and Happy112
It all worked fine (with Adblock) for several years until last Tuesday, so I don't think that can be the problem.

Thanks for offering to help.
The following link takes you to a range of programs which I can't play.

The clips play fine for me. Disable any blockers as the others said.
Note that your System Details list shows that you have a <b>user.js</b> file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts. The user.js file will only be present if you or other software has created this file and normally won't be present.
You can check its content with a text editor (right-click: "Open with"; do not double-click). The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
You can delete the user.js file if you didn't create this file yourself.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

Don't know if you have a BBC account, but around the time your problem started, members received an email from the BBC, pertaing to their Privacy and Cookies Policy. Among other things : The BBC does not respond to DNT requests, meaning that you have to check your browser's Do Not Track settings. Also you will have to allow cookies for any BBC page you're on.
