Today when I started up firefox, all of my extensions/plugins/add ons were deleted for some reason and the only thing left was my history and bookmarks. I wanted to find out if there was some way to revert to an older state in order to save my speed dial websites, some of which are valuable to me and I can't remember the addresses

Can you find a file on your desktop named Old Firefox Data? If Firefox performed a reset, a copy of your old settings folder (profile folder) should be in there.

Resurrecting an old profile folder takes several steps. I listed one way to do it in this thread: I just reset Firefox, are my add ons in the "old Firefox data" folder and how do I find them?

It is also possible that there was a problem with the profiles.ini file and that a new default profile has been created.
