suddenly all videos can not stream
All videos on all websites have suddenly stopped streaming on Firefox. There is only a blank white box where the video is suppose to be. However the same videos stream fine on IE 9 and Chrome. I have the latest version of Firefox and all my plug-ins are current. I have Windows 7 Home Premium on a 64 bit system. I enjoyed the video quality of Firefox. Now it is broken. I need help. Thank you.

hello 14lance, this is probably a problem in connection with the recent update of adobe's flash plugin (IE and chrome get supplied with a different variant of the plugin by adobe), please refer to the following article for common solutions: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox
Hello madperson, No luck. No joy. Much woe. I disabled the RealPlayer Browser Record extension and restarted. Still no video will stream on Firefox. I uninstalled Flash 11. Even though I still have Flash 10 videos will not stream. There is just a message in the blank video box to install Flash. I regard myself as the last analog man left on earth. I gave in and bought my computer because all the video shops have closed. I just want to watch videos and enjoyed the video quality of Firefox. Any manual repair of this problem MUST be simple in order for me to do. What do you think? Will Firefox and Adobe solve this problem for us tomorrow or will they just continue to loose customers?
You can try Flash 11.2 that you can download via this link:

Hello cor-el. No luck. No joy. Much woe. I tried downloading the 32bit. Flash but I only keep getting an error message from Abode saying that I must download the most "latest and secure" version. I even found my attempts to download in my Microsoft Explorer and tried downloading from there. I got the same error message from Adobe. When I first got my new computer Netflix would not play on a IE 9 64-bit system. I had to switch back to the 32-bit. It looks like Adobe is not giving me that option. Too bad for Firefox. I like communities better than corporations but it looks like I will have to switch my default sever to Chrome. What do you think?
I have the same proble. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox several times and I still can't play videos.
What a mess. At least Chrome transfers Mozilla bookmarks.
THIS WORKED FOR ME:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0
I had to disable Real Player Download Option.
Suddenly VIDEOS ARE BACK!
Adobe recommends: 1. Launch Real Player 2. Click Real Player Icon in upper left corner and choose Preferences 3. Choose Download & Recording from Left Panel 4. Uncheck download & record for these browsers [only IE & Chrome were shown} 5. Click OK and close Real Player 6. Restart Firefox
It worked. Of course I can no longer download videos, but I can view them on Firefox.
I hope Mozilla gets up to date with this problem soon. I liked downloading videos.
Hello rachelleyoung. YES indeed !!!!! This is a PARTIAL solution to the problem. I found Chis Campbell's from Adobe "solution" in the Incoming links, 6-15-2012 upgrade and browser flash video problems." Everyone else can use the link which you have so kindly provided. I watched his video on Chrome because videos WERE NOT working on Firefox. Disabling the RealPlayer Browser Record plug-in through Firefox as suggested earlier will not work. It must be done through the Microsoft program. I just wonder how long you will have to be turning this function on again to download and off again to watch on Firefox? I don't download so I will be fine. Take care.

Yes, that worked for me also - its not ideal but I never used the Realplayer download feature any way, so its not a problem for me..
