Hi

I'm using Win7 64 bit & I need to open Firefox in 32 bit. A plugin I need doesn't like 64 bit.

Everything I have found so far pertains to Mac.

How can I open Firefox in 32 bit?

Thanks

Firefox is 32 bit (there is no release of x64 Firefox for windows yet). However, you may have installed a 64 bit plugin. What plugin is it that you are having problems with?

Thanks for responding! I am trying to use Sibelius Scorch plugin which is a 32 bit plugin. Every post I have seen on this says that I have to run Firefox in 32 bit for it to work.

I have another pc that is XP 32 bit & it works fine in Firefox, which would confirm what I had read. Any ideas as to how I can use this plugin on my 64 bit OS with Firefox?

Thanks again!

You should be able to, as I said firefox isn't a 64 bit application, so the firefox you run on your Windows 7 desktop is the same as your Windows xp.

Have you tried to install it yet? do you get an error message or anything?

I have tried installing it about 20 times and doesn't work. I have tried everything I can. Every blog says to run Firefox in 32 bit. You are saying it is 32 bit. Even Sibelius who developed the plugin says to open the Application folder (where ever that is) right click & select 32 bit.

I have worked on this for 2 days now. I give up. Thanks for trying to help!

There is no way to right click Firefox and run as 32bit, I'm not sure why anyone would suggest that.

Can you give me the information you were reading from Sibelious, as well as where the plugin is? Maybe we can figure it out :)
