I am running Firefox v3 on another PC . Operating system -- Vista Home and also using Norton Security Suite from Comcast. The only versions of Firefox that I can find is the latest -- v6.0 to download. I need v5.0.1 as Norton is not yet compatible with v6. Please send me a URL where I might download v5.0.1 that will run under Vista. Thank You.

version 5 isn't recommended for security reasons. 3.6 is a better choice if you don't want firefox 6. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

However, please see http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Update-Available-Firefox-6-0-Compatibility-Patch/td-p/512482

When was the 6.0 patch made available? I had an e-mail from Norton as late as Wednesday, 8/24, saying that 5.0.1 was the latest for compatibility. There seems to be a disconnect!!!!

Indeed! The patch had been available a week earlier than that email. If the patch solves the problem, please mark this thread solved for future searchers.
