On the add-ons screen, I'm getting an indication that my Trend micro sofware is incompatible. What does this mean?
When I open the add-ons screen, I get a faded out message that Trend-Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 4. Below it is another faded out message that Trend-micro toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 4. Do these messages mean that I'm not getting the Trend-Micro protection, or that I just can't open Trend-micro from within Firefox 4? I've been using Trend-micro for a long time, and I really like it.

I contacted Trend and they said that an updated version of Trend wouldn't be available until about October, I was NOT impressed I'm afraid. But do I only need an updated version of the extension?
Do they really expect their paying customers to patiently wait that long for an update?
Did you ask them about an updated extension for Firefox 4??
Hell, by October Firefox 5.0 and 6.0 will have been released.
No that's wrong, the update for the trend micro toolbar will be issued the second week of JUNE 2011. How do I know this? http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-US/1058585.aspx%EF%BB%BF Says so there. Want more info? http://community.trendmicro.com/t5/Home-and-Home-Office-Forum/UPDATE-Toolbar-For-Mozilla-Firefox-4-0/td-p/32014/page/4 Hope this helps, because I am one of the people as well with Firefox 4 and no Toolbar.
I'm new to Firefox and have only just downloaded Firefox 10. I have logged this issue with Trend Micro and tried to find out what it means in practice. What does it mean in practice? Am I unprotected? Update 14 Feb 2012: I have since learnt that this add-on is not essential to browsing security (see my later post below). It applies to Trend Internet Security Pro whereas I am on Titanium. When I go to Titanium tools there is no button to activate the toolbar. The toolbar is explained in http://www.trendsecure.com/online_docs/docloader.php?DOCID=TS-TBAR&DOCTAB=FAQ&DOCVER=TS5&DOCLOCALE=en-US The add-on Firefox identified on my computer in my opinion seems to be a leftover from Trend Internet Security which I used before Titanium. I am therefore no longer worried about this issue.

I got a response from Trend Micro which reads: Thank you for contacting Trend Micro Technical Support.
Unfortunately Firefox 10.0 is not yet supported but as soon as there is an update regarding this matter, the program is going to apply for it automatically, as yet we do not know when this is going to happen but our engineers are working on it.
The only problem you can face with is that Trend Micro Toolbar is not working with Firefox 10.0, however your security is still 100%
We apologize for any inconveniene caused.
