When I go to Tools-Options-General and make google.com my homepage and use current page (I have already gone to google.com from google.ca) and close Firefox and reopen it, the page has reverted to google.ca. I tried making Firefox the default browser, thinking this might be the problem, but it doesn't fix it. I am at a loss because, as you know changing your homepage is usually routine. I have run scans to see if there was a trojan or other lurking around, even though it seemed unlikely, but have found nothing. Would appreciate your help. Thanks, Bert.

A workaround for this is to set your home page to http://www.google.com/ncr . This will always redirect you to the US home page.

Also make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
