I updated to TB version 102.2.2 (32 bit) and really dislike the look, I don't like the changed icons, I don't like that every icon, etc., has a different color and of course, I can't choose the colors or to have only one color. So, what procedure do I follow to return or download the prior version of Thunderbird? And when will it be possible to find out about these types of changes before downloading the latest update? Every time I've tried to find out what's in a new release before downloading, whether it's TB or Firefox, all I see is that some security updates were made, but never anything about these very noticeable & for me, unwanted, visual changes.

Icon colors are definitely changable. Right+click on folder and pick properties. There is a reset icon (circle with arror) and also a color picker. If it doesn't work, that is a bug which I'm sure we can fix.

The majority of the visual changes would have occurred in version 102.0 and are listed in this release notes https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/102.0/releasenotes/

https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/102.0/whatsnew/ visually presents much of what is new.
