Did you install the NoScript add-on?

I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry but I'm not tech savvy. I simply came across some Add on's in Mozilla that looked good to me.... and downloaded the following: Ghostery, Privacy Badger, Decentraleyes, Dark Reader, Adguard and BitWarden. Maybe I don't need them all? I wasn't looking to disable anything! Don't know how this happened and it's very inconvenient. I just want it back up and running as before. I didn't know one could disable something like this, which is obviously very essential, as far as I'm concerned. One other question since I'm here now is do I need all of these apps? Can you advise me on what are the best, in your experience? Thanks so very much!

Would you explain please what a "No Script" add on is?

Is this problem on a desktop installation of Firefox (Windows, Mac, Linux) or did you install all of those on the Android installation?

Some of these will block content in pages and potentially trigger a message about scripts being blocked:

• Ghostery
• Privacy Badger
• Adguard

You might experiment with only one of those enabled at a time and see how you like it.

P.S. NoScript is an add-on that blocks all the scripts until you enable them (using the menu or, on a desktop OS, a toolbar button). Sounds like you didn't install that one.

Thanks for your prompt input, but you are speaking a foreign language! All I know is that I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet and I downloaded the Firefox browser because it's supposed to be safer re privacy. I recently stumbled across Mozilla, and started reading about all these apps....so knowing nothing about them, I downloaded several all at once, thinking I could get rid of them later if I didn't like them. So now I have no Java Script!

Would you tell me please how to get rid of these apps? Which one in your opinion, should I keep to try out first? All I want is to keep my browsing and personal information safe from hackers. I do have Bitdefender installed, so maybe that's all I need? Maybe I went a wee overboard? Lol

In Firefox for Android:

tap the menu button, then tap Add-ons

That should list your installed Add-ons.

Tap an add-on to manage it: there is a slider switch next to the word Enabled. Tap that switch to switch between enabled and disabled. (There also is a Remove button if you prefer.)

You can go back to the list to disable the next one, etc.

I suggest disabling Ghostery and Privacy Badger and trying just the ad blocker and see how it goes.

Okay, but I can't see the menu for Firefox, duh! Please describe it. Thanks a billion....

I suspect I'm not in the right screen. I went to where I can view all my open tabs in Firefox, but there's no menu button there. Is there a website....com?

The menu button is at the right end of the address bar, a stack of 3 dots to the right of the square showing the number of tabs. Sometimes that bar slides off screen and you need to scroll to the top of the page you're viewing to get it back.

Well, I found the menu and saw all my add-ons; however, it's not that cut and dried! Privacy Badger has no toggle for enable/disable - or anything remotely like that- but it does have a very confusing amount of buttons, etc. The other App Ghostery also has no on/off toggle. Also got nowhere trying to figure it out... I'm sure it's super easy once you know how, but it's just not obvious to me...and I taught myself Wordperfect in 1987, the first year they had computers in college! I'm sooo miffed!

Yeah, there's no Remove button in either app that I can see, nor is there an Enable/Disable toggle. And I did click on each App to open it...

If you open the Firefox for Android menu, select Add-ons a list of add-ons will be displayed, with the ones that you have enabled at the top of the list.

Select the ones that you wish to disable and select "disable" in the sub menu that appears.
