What's this infatuation with black everywhere recently. I find black to be good in some respects but not in others. Some webpages just look (read) odd in black and icons (of sports teams for example) look wrong. Though I don't mind my tabs being black (though I prefer blue overall) I don't want the rest of my page to be black, White, as has been in the past and in most web sites is too bright and contrasty at times. Is there a theme whereby the main page (not the tabs) is in a mid or light grey? If so please let me know since the extremes of black/white just don't work for me. Thanks in advance.

There's a review of the issue in the following answer. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1364418#answer-1474290

thanks terry21. There is sort of an answer there but not really. What I asked, basically is a specific theme that does (shows) what I would like it to show. The link you showed (quite informative) tells you how to change this and that of a theme--which is too much work for me and time needed which I don't have.

You will probably have to search the add-ons site to find what you want. Rather than a theme, I use an add-on which dims the page - a grey effect. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/page-shadow/
