When I logged in this morning, I didn't receive new messages. When I sent a message as a test, it said that while the message was sent, it would not be saved. Something happened happened overnight, because it was fine when I logged off.

Hi, are you using Eset firewall? There seems to be an update was released which blocks some parts of Thunderbird. Try to disable it by right clicking on the icon in the system tray > Advanced settings > Web and email, and disable the options there.

Thanks for your help. I think you are right about ESET, which did an update within the last week...I remember sign clicking on it.

I'm 78 so not completely fluent with where everything is "hiding" in computer programs. Are you speaking of the ICON in the Mozilla tray or in the ESET Tray. (I am presuming Mozilla)?

Can you take me through step by step...just list them in order.

I so appreciate your help!

Wayne,

Yes, using gmail. Somehow it call came back on, even though I could not figure out the instruction I had above to solve the problem connected to ESET. "Alls well that ends well" I guess!

Thanks for jumping in to help!
