I wish to copy text from an email into a Windows app spreadsheet. Highlighting the text and right clicking reveals no option to copy to clipboard. Add-ons are not compatible with my version of Thunderbird. Please help as I have an assignment to populate a database. Laboriously copying by keyboard would take forever, and defeats the object of modern computers. Many thanks, Gerard Baars

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

I'm using Windows 10 OS and TB version 60.7.0

This is the default in Thunderbird: Select email in list so it opens in the lower Message Pane. Right click on highlighted email text and drop down selection includes : 'Copy' at the top of the list. so then you can use Right click and 'Paste' or ('Ctrl' + 'V') in other program.

If you used to see: 'Copy to clipboard' with options Message or headers Then you were probably using an addon that included it in the drop down menu. ImportExportTools is known to add that option to the drop down context menu. It also works with version 60.7.0.
