If Firefox is my default browser why does google appear on the browser tab window? I only want to use google to maintain my gmail account.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Hi kenfuglestad, Google search is the default search provider in Firefox. If you prefer to send your searches to a different site, check out the steps in the following article:

Change your default search settings in Firefox

Also, there may be a link to Google search on the "new tab" page. You can edit the tiles on the new tab page. See:

Customize your Firefox New Tab page

Those are my best guess about why you saw Google more than you wanted. If that didn't cover it, could you describe what you're seeing in a little more detail?
