The development team behind Firefox are always looking for ways to improve your browsing experience. The new Firefox homepage offers a higher level of customization than the old version of the Firefox homepage. There is not currently a way to change back to the old version of the Firefox homepage, although you can make it look pretty much the same if you disable everything except the search bar and snippets from the gear button on the Firefox homepage.
