I have 2 separate email accounts - one for me and one for my wife. However in settings there is only one Outgoing Servers box and it asks for one to be default. That means the other account doesn't send emails. Is there a way of setting different outgoing servers for the two different accounts automatically?

In Tools/Account Settings, select Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane and Add... a new server. Then, in Tools/Account Settings, select an account in the left pane, then click the drop-down for Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the lower right pane and select the correct outgoing server for that account.

This solution does not work for me. How do I link the gmail outgoing server with a particular gmail address? In gmail forwarding, the gmail messages are sent to my Thunderbird email server. In other words, I receive the gmails successfully. But I can not reply using the gmail identity which i have added under Tools/Account Settings >Manage Identities. Use of Identities worked well until a few months ago. I was able to reply with the Identity ... but it has stopped working. Please advise how to fix. Thanks.
