firefox 57 is crashing
The update to Firefox 57 Freezes, Crashes and is extremely slow. Running Windows 8.1. Reverting to Firefox 56 resolves the issues, and works fine. There seems to be no direct contact to FF for support, and the "contact us" is a "do-loop" to nowhere. I tried feedback :( using Firefox 57 -- after 5 mins, I had typed 10 words.

You really need to update your Video Card Drivers for Intel® HD Graphics 4000 as are from driverDate: 8-17-2015 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81499/Intel-HD-Graphics-4000 also https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
Seems there is a few issues with the drivers, possible too old and or corrupted. Old drivers really cause a range of issues.
So might want to do that. If decide to try again : Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Clicking Contact Mozilla will more than likely send you here. Mozilla offers no phone, email or live chat support. This is the official support forum for Mozilla products.
To get more information on your crashes, please send over the latest crash reports.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
Thank you for your help!
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
To improve performance, please consider switching over to uBlock Origin over AdBlock Plus as it is lower on resources.
Thanks for the reply. However, 57 is so slow that I have to close it with task manager. Trying to navigate to simple things is impossible. I had to load another browser just to get to the forum.
Therefore, I can't send any reports from FF 57.0. Totally does not function.

The update to the Microsoft Graphics Driver fixed the issue. Even though OEM driver was at the latest available, it didn't function with FF57. I reloaded the Driver per the instructions using FF 56, verified the pc worked, and then upgraded again to FF57. FF57 is now working. I am beginning to customize.
Thanks for the prompt help. It appears to be fixed.
