I have used Thunderbird for years and have successfully transferred Profiles from Pc to PC. Now that I want to move Profiles to a new mac, I've hit problems. in fact I now have multiple problems. 1. I renamed the profile in Libraries on the mac, and now Thunderbird wont even start. I uninstalled and re-installed, but with the same result - Thunderbird won't start (Profile missing) 2. Now that I can't start Thunderbird, I can't access the Profile Manager. WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO ACCESS PROFILE MANAGER ???? 3. Assuming I can get Thunderbird working again on the mac, how to I quickly access the profile Manager to choose which Profile I want to run thanks, mike

undo the renamed profile is by far the easiest way to fix you issue. Other wise your going to have to edit the file profiles.ini in the ~thunderbird folder to show the new name.

I use this add-on for profile switching. Much nicer than command line stuff https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/profileswitcher/?src=search
