We have one application where we have java applet program to select and upload file form the desktop to the server. While pressing first time "SELECT FILES" button, it works fine, but for the second time it crashes. I tried finding issue with my code but it is working fine on all other browser. The moment I press select files second time, the waiting wheel keeps on rotating till my application crashes.

For some time now, a lot of Mac’s with Microsoft programs have been crashing. Check with Microsoft / Mac support sites.

Hi Anshuk, Thank you for your question, I understand that Firefox is crashing, however the crash that was provided is from a 24 ESR version, there is a newer version of Firefox ESR available. 31.0.4.

Is there a specific page that this keeps happening on, a java plugin or an app?

Hello,

Yes there is one application for which whenever we call our applet application two ( or more than two times sometimes ), it crashes.

Please make sure that you have the 32bit version of java installed as Firefox is 32bit: https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml

That is a Firefox 24esr crash report.

  • Firefox 24.0esr Crash Report [@ hang | libsystem_kernel.dylib@0x15716 ]

There is a bug linked to it that says fixed in Firefox 31, so maybe install the current Firefox 31.0.6 esr release as a test.
