Have had Firefox Aurora a couple weeks. worked very well. Now, will not update, and also unable to download latest version
Had Aurora about 6 weeks, Firefox Aurora about 2 weeks and was working very well. Then starting about a few days ago, unable to update and also unable to download latest version from the your site.
Only other browser I use is Opera. won't use Chrome, or Explorer. Firefox is no better, and Firefox works on my system, no better and I like being on Aurora and getting latest ....until now..since it won't update.
Again, I only use Opera and Firefox Aurora, no other browsers. Was going to try Safari, but the agreement language for Windows PC's from Apple, was very user unfriendly.

Well if you can, get the full installer downloaded as it does not rely on a internet connection like the stub installer does. Also with Aurora and Nightly channel builds if you miss a update you will get a full file instead of a small partial.

Did you check here?
cor-el hello. yes i did try that, it too, will not download- "failed". doesn't want to. it doesn't like me.
thanks. must say, same computer same internet connection, and Opera working and updating, fine.....
?????
trouble is, I much, prefer- Aurora to Opera. much
Try this url rather http://download.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/
Aurora is the name of one of four main development channels of Firefox which is Release, Beta, Aurora and Nightly. Both Aurora and Nightly get checkins almost everyday so there for they get a update each of these days. The checkins can occasionally lead to issues or regressions that needs the problem checkin(s) to be removed or fixed.
Hi James. So good long list, how do I select the one to click on of the like 80 on that list?
Thanks,
Well you use Windows so there are only three choices at most.
firefox-34.0a2.en-US.win32.installer-stub.exe firefox-34.0a2.en-US.win32.installer.exe firefox-34.0a2.en-US.win32.zip
I suggest the installer and not the online stub installer. If you you do use the .zip you should Not extract it over a existing install if it was installed by installer and have .zip extracted in its own clean folder instead. This mixing can potentially cause crashes and is why .zip's for Release was discontinued when Firefox got to version 1.0.2 as .zip were used for the over two years before that.

well James. not good. I chose the Installer, as you said- it started to work on that, for 20 mins. and then. "download failed".
all i can say, is now here it's late- and may be during day time, the internet speed from "my hi speed" and i use that term, loosely, may be better and get it done.
if not, oh well. no update.

good news. i guessed correct. now here earlier morning, and i guess the net connection is happier now- it worked.
all updated, automatically. just opened the Firefox Aurora browser, it checked for updates, it did and restart and then I rechecked and it found a 2nd update, did that- restart and now it says, Aurora is up to date.
So, time of day seems to affect, the speed and volume of data, of my places' internet service connectivity.
So, in the future, I'll just try at a different time of day. here.
Thanks for all your time and help, James.
