Why can't I have a scanned item sent to my email account, I get a SMPT error message.
Unable to send a scanned document to my yahoo email account, the error message is SMPT not found.

hello c18843, this doesn't sound like a problem with firefox, so we probably can't help with that issue. please contact the vendor of the program you're using to send the item to get further support...

By the way, it's SMTP (for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), so if you see SMPT, there might be a typo in your settings.
Thanks, however I believe that there is a sync problem occurring after I attach the scanned document to my email account, when I try to send the attached file to my email account is when I receive the "host smpt error message", I guess the host server is different than what is now present in my software.
All I am trying to do is sync my email account, so that when I attach a scanned document to my email account that it will allow the process to take place without the "SMPT host error message appearing and to allow the email to be sent when I press the send icon.
Are you logging in to your mail account in Firefox and using the attach feature to attach a scan file to a message? If you are trying to send the file directly from your scan software, you may need to check with Yahoo on how to do that. If I recall correctly, Yahoo requires a paid account in order to send messages through programs other than the browser, and presumably they provide support on the specific settings.
I am using my all in one printer to scan the document and choosing the email option to have it attached to my email address, that part of the action occurs without a problem, the problem exists when I hit the send icon on the email with the attachment, that is when I get the "SMTP or POP3 host error message".
Your email provider (Yahoo?) can give you the settings you need to connect to its mail servers from your scanner software. The software will connect directly; it doesn't use any of your web browsers to connect.
