Firefox is unable to access the internet and don't know what's blocking it.
I have checked Mcafee firewall, but can't locate where to change settings. I have also tried setting firefox with no proxy, but it doesn't stick, it goes back to a proxy setting. This just started happening a few days ago.

did you check internet option > connections > and see what your proxy setting is?
After get to connections> click on > Lan > should be set to "auto Detect>
for some reason W7 kicks it out on me sometimes with no reason
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
