Firefox Browser blocking Flash
Am using Firefox Version 11.0 and Flash Version 11.1. Get the following pop-up when accessing email.
Your browser is blocking Flash. You must have Flash 9.0 or higher installed and unblocked to run an openmail application. You can download and install the latest Flash Player
Doesn't appear to be a newer version of Flash available, so I'm not sure what I need to do to get rid of the pop-up.

Adobe actually just recently release Flash player 11.2. You can download and install it from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe. If you install that, does it help with your issue?
I receive the same pop-up on my IMac OS X 10.6.8. My version of Flash is 11.2 and I updated to Firefox 11.0 on March 16th. First time that I saw this pop-up was yesterday.

Cor-el: do you think both of my problems: java plug and flash pop-up are related to the upgrade to Firefox 11 when I am still using snow leopard? Should I just upgrade to Lion?

On which site(s) do you see the error about Flash?
I've seen a few posts that mention AOL and Yahoo mail and that give the impression that the problems is with the code on their side (maybe browser or plugin detection code) and not in Firefox.
On our desktop, it pops up whenever we open up our email. Using Windows XP, Firefox version 11 and Flash version 11.2. Using Yahoo mail.
On our laptop, it pops up same time, when you open up mail. Using Windows 7, Firefox version 11 and Flash version 11.2. using Yahoo mail.
You can try the "Classic View" setting to view the mail.
- [/questions/924283] I keep getting a message saying I need a more current version of flash player on my computer
- [/questions/924319] Why do I get a popup message about Flash?
Here's what happened: Last week, Adobe updated the way they report the Flash version (not Firefox version but the version of Flash) as part of a Flash update. It seems that Yahoo Mail didn't update their code to check correctly and so it looks like (to them) that Flash isn't working (they can see that you have it installed but the version check code doesn't work).
This needs to be fixed on the Yahoo side. In the meantime, you could try cor-el's suggestion to switch to classic view.
Looks like you're onto something; logged onto YAHOO, and many have reported same problem on their Help support site. Only suggested response I could see matched yours - switch to classic mail. Appreciate everyone's help - this is one of those annoying things that drive you crazy, most especially since I'm on a brand new PC, so wasn't anticipating any problems for awhile.
What are the chances that Yahoo will correct the problem ?
They should be working on it, but you can always contact them! As a customer, they might be more likely to listen to you.
It is gone from my computer.
Just noticed its gone here also.
To all...happy to report, went a whole day without the offending Flash pop-up message on both our desktop and laptop, so appears problem is resolved. Thanks to all who helped me through this.
I'm glad it is over. Apple finally provided an update for the java plugin yesterday as well. Thanks to all, too.
This issues has been fixed by Yahoo and at&t - Yahoo! and at&t mail say your browser is blocking Flash
