Everytime since update when I launch it checks compatibility and redirects

more options

Updated to current. Now my profile checks compatibility for add ons EVERY time I launch the icon and redirects me saying out of date -click the link and hey it says I'm up to date (blank set as default home).

Its something on my profile as a new install didn't help. When starting a new profile and switching over it goes clean after one run. However after moving over bookmarks, plugins, etc it happens. Renaming doesn't help. Here are pictures of what happens each launch.

Don't want to lose all profile content. Can't leave it open 24/7 as machine needs rest and needs occasional closings due to wild and weird resource hogging if you ever open many tabs/stream/etc.. (not releasing them) Help?

Hi angrylizard,

The latest version of Firefox is actually 10.2 so you should confirm that you have that version in stalled. You should look at this article about that specific issue and the article Preferences not saved. These should give you all the information you need!

If that doesn't work:

  1. Type about:config in the address bar
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise if prompted
  3. In the Filter input field type startup
  4. Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
  5. Delete the text string and click OK
  6. Close Firefox and reopen the window to verify that it has worked.

Hopefully this helps!

Hi. Thank you. Your advice partially fixed the problem. Manually going in config with startup urls stopped the redirection.

Tried the other options (renaming pref.js for replacement). Did not resolve the update at launch issue.

Is there a config option to disable its ability to start this all together?(photo one)
