downloaded firefox web browser but it doesn't show up as a shortcut on the desktop or in my start up menu and those items were checked when i downloaded
i think my question says it all...i downloaded firefox 5.0.1 and it went thru the process. It asked if i wanted a desktop shortcut and have it in the startup menu and i had those boxes checked. But when everything was done it isn't anywhere. I just bought a new Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E420 with windows 7.

Sorry to hear things went pear-shaped during the installation.
To create a desktop shortcut, please do the following.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox.
- Right click the file called firefox.exe and choose "Send To", then "Desktop (create shortcut)".
Ok that part did allow me to create a desktop shortcut but i still don't have it in my programs list in the startup menu. What needs to be done there?
Drag firefox.exe onto the Windows Start button using the right mouse button.
