Printing from web page using firefox only portion of page prints or comes up in Preview, but whole page will print using IE or from regular software
Have an older Dell Dimension 2400 & my B&W volume printer is a Brother HL-1440. When I Print Preview a web page (even in printer friendly format) only about 1/6th of the page shows up or prints. 2/3 of everything on right of page never gets printed and the remaining 1/3 (left most portion of the page) gets broken into multiple little pieces so that it takes 2 to 4 pages to print this partial document.
Problem is I don't have this problem with any NON-internet software documents. And I don't have this problem when I use Internet Explorer. And I don't have this problem if I change printers and use the color HP PSC 950.
Before I give up on Firefox, is there some setting or something that may have gotten changed or is there some other simple solution to this problem???????/

If it doesn't appear correct in the Print Preview window, don't waste your paper or toner on printing a page like that - it won't be "fixed" when printing, and it could actually be worse. Strange that one printer shows an incomplete Preview and the other one doesn't. I usually see the same "incomplete" page with both printers in the Preview.
There are a couple of Bugs in Firefox that are related to not printing a complete web page, it prints the first and the last "page" or just the first "page" to paper. Those particular Bugs were fixed in the later Firefox 4.0 betas, but for some reason the developers decided not to backport those Bug-fixes to current versions of Firefox (although those Bugs weren't exactly new, they existed for many years, over many versions of Firefox).
Try the Firefox 4.0 beta before giving up on Firefox altogether. If you still see that problem, then give up, as this type of problem doesn't warrant the aggravation it provides. There are many days that I have regretted ever sticking with Firefox once I started using it it in 2002. I have been waiting 8 1/2 years for these Bugs to be fixed.
When I attempt to print a web page, I get some of what's on top and then the bottom of the page with lots left out in the middle. Is there any way around this?
