I have tried all the things listed but they made no difference at all. I have no problem with IE. I have been to this site before and it is a bookmarked site. This problem only came with the last update that never saved any of my search engines either. Can go to some sites but not others and I have been there before. Is it time to dump Firefox?

EDIT: One of the sites is speedtest.net, how crap is that?

Big FAIL there as well. I have already tried all that. I also ran Moz Backup and that failed to help. I can google speedtest but when I click on the result in the search it times out. If I try from my bookmarks it also times out. I have about 80 bookmarks I use all the time I won't return to Firefox if this is the crap I get after updates. Not the first time I have had to start from the beginning. Why do they release this crap if it is not ready for us to use? I have already tried all the things listed as well as increasing the time out period. That just took longer to tell me it had timed out. RUBBISH

Turning off my firewall did not help. Connection refused. I am able to go to Bata.speedtest.net but not speedtest.net I could last week with no problems at all. All support links at the bottom of this page time out as well I am sick of this crap, Time to switch browser I think as I am NOT going to do this crap every time Firefox finds a hole in their program. Looking at the help pages I am not the only person with this problem. There are hundreds with similar shit happening
