Is there a "hot key" for 'Print Preview'??
I'm tired of wasting paper when a job prints pages of hidden text. I need a hot key to bring up the 'print preview' so I can restrict the printing to specific pages and not the junk that I don't want.

Other than {Alt + F} to open the File menu and then hitting v, there is no "hot key" command.
There are a few extensions that add Print & Print Preview to the right-click menu, which make it easier to preview a page before printing. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1778/

You can use the Keyconfig extension to create a shortcut with this command.
PrintUtils.printPreview(onEnterPrintPreview, onExitPrintPreview);

You have an old version of Java with known security issues. You need to update it.
Update Java
- You can check your version: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
- See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Java+plugin+with+Firefox#Installing_or_updating_Java
NOTE: To remove your very old Java version see the note in the gray box al the end of the above article section, preferably before installing the new Java version.

Another option for reducing waste in printing is a program named GreenPrint. When set up as your default printer, it displays a series of thumbnails showing how the document will print, allowing you to selectively delete pages.
There is a free advertising supported version for home users; the standard license is $29.
There is an addon called "Aardvark" You can select the part of the page you want to print, leaving out all the other, including ads.
There's always the file menu (though it's a "hassle")... File - Print Preview
Yes, Mozilla should bring back the "Print Preview" button!
Firefox has never had a "Print Preview" button. If you had one it was added to Firefox by an extension.
Just wondering why there isn't one. What is needed is what David Snyder had was absolutely the best. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-preview/ It put an icon on the toolbar that, if you hit it, took you straight to print preview. Then you could adjust, etc. as necessary. It also gave you an option to hit the down arrow instead of the icon and it would print.
