Background is I am C# .Net developer working on a internal website that use AD to lookup values about the current user, in IE this works fine but in FF it crashes with a non discript COM error.

Hello Ollie.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
